Three weeks after the 50th anniversary of the official end of steam-driven locomotion on Britain’s railways, rail enthusiast and TV director David Parker’s talk ‘The Golden Age of Steam’ at Malvern Theatre must be a date for your diary, as it will include his film record of the NRM’s £4.5 million restoration of Sir Nigel Gresley’s Flytin Scotsman, together with archive footage (shot by volunteers) of some of the most impressive of our narrow gauge restorations in his compilation ‘Small is Beautiful’.

The event, on Tuesday September 4th starts at 7.45 pm. Tickets from Malvern Theatre’s Box Office: 01684 892277
