Slow Progress on Bus Hub at Barrs Court Station

Everyone must have noticed that the new link road superhighway from Commercial Road to Edgar Street is now open. Most probably you will have noticed it because of the traffic chaos it has caused at the Commercial Road junction and the difficulty for pedestrians trying to cross it to get to/from the railway station. As part of the new road scheme, Hereford is to get a new transport hub at the station where bus/bus and bus/rail interchange can take place. However, work on this appears to be at a standstill. The area allocated for the hub between the station and the new road is vacant and RBfH understands some temporary bus stands are to be located there. Why temporary when a purpose-built hub is planned? Or is it. Often in local authority terms, temporarily becomes permanent.

Hopefully, more positive news on this shortly from our buses subgroup.
